In addition to its performance season, Digby Dance offers schools and organizations a number of educational opportunities that share the magic of dance with audiences and groups of all ages. Below, you’ll find information about Digby Dance workshops, residencies and commissions.

Workshops
Kate Digby and company members are available to teach a variety of workshops and master classes. Topics include: Modern Dance, Ballet for the Modern Dancer, Choreography, Art & Spirituality, the Emotional/Physical Connection, and Muscular Dynamics.

The company also offers a forty-five minute workshop, How to Watch a Dance Performance, that introduces young learners to the magic of dance. Nancy Harris Frohlich, Head of School at the Advent School in Boston offered this testimonial: “Digby Dance is a young, energetic company dedicated to sharing the joy of movement with all ages. Our young school audience rippled with delight as they learned about story, pattern, and shape from Digby Dance's new show, How to Watch a Dance Performance.” Click the following link to download the brochure.

Residencies
Inviting Digby Dance to be a Company in Residence at your school provides students and staff the opportunity to enjoy multiple levels of learning in extended classes and workshops. Residencies can include setting pieces on students, in-depth mentoring, and including students in Digby Dance performances.
